People never cease to amaze me. It's always when we least expect it that someone will do or say something to you that makes you say "ARE YOU SERIOUS?". Why do we (including myself because none of us are perfect) so easily at times take people who have been there for us for granted. Does this mean the saying is true..."you always hurt the one you love"?
How can we fix our mouth to ask someone for something when we've never said "thank you" for what they've already done for us, who they've already been to us. Or better yet, we've never said "I'm sorry" for what we've put them through. That person owes you nothing. They continued to put up with your selfishness for one reason only, love...nothing more, nothing less. For some of us, it may be too late to repair those broken relationships but if it's not, swallow your pride and make things right.
**footnote: When I began writing this I was filled with accusatory anger but somewhere in the middle the law of objectivity crept in. With that being said I hope this helps you as you read it as much as it helped me to write it.
...that's what it is then!
